Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with leading organisations like Safer Essex Roads Partnership, RoadPeace, Surewise, Hill & Smith Infrastructure and Project EDWARD.

Safer Essex Roads Partnership

  • Developed the Vision Zero communications plan and launched the innovative Vision Zero pledge, now adopted by multiple UK safer roads partnerships.

  • Produced PR and social media content that featured compelling human interest stories designed to engage stakeholders and members of the public.

  • Developed a powerful social media campaign that demonstrated widespread support for Vision Zero in Essex among key stakeholders, including chief police officers, the Police and Crime Commissioner, road crash victims and local politicians.

  • Presented at the Road Safety GB Conference in November 2023, discussing the campaign’s success and the personal stories that drove its impact.

RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims

  • Elevated RoadPeace’s role as the leading charity for crash victims’ rights and road justice issues, using human interest stories to increase media exposure.

  • Secured endorsements from celebrities and achieved over 61 million Twitter impressions by sharing powerful stories and campaign messages.

  • Secured multiple appearances for the charity on national BBC Breakfast television and other major tv and radio stations.

  • Significantly enhanced RoadPeace’s social media presence, featuring stories of those affected by road harm to build engagement on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • Co-founded the RoadPeace Challenge, which has now raised over £160,000 and gaining substantial public attention. Now listed on the police and fire service National Roads Partnership Operations Calendar 2024 – 2025.

Surewise

  • Developed a comprehensive road safety communications strategy for mobility scooter insurer, Surewise.

  • Launched the Safer Mobility campaign to raise awareness about mobility scooter safety.

  • Accessed and analysed road casualty data revealing powerful insights to fuel comms.

  • Wrote and distributed a news release highlighting these findings, which was picked up by multiple national and local media outlets, as well as industry magazines.

  • Connected Surewise with key members of the road safety community, leading to numerous UK police forces and local authorities distributing is safety guide to the public.

  • Facilitated a collaboration with Dr. Duncan Guest, Head of Psychology at Nottingham Trent University, who has extensively researched mobility scooter safety. The university has officially endorsed the Surewise campaign.

  • Appeared alongside Surewise and Dr. Guest to discuss mobility scooter safety on a Road Safety GB webinar.

  • Secured a workshop slot at the Road Safety GB Conference 2024.

Project EDWARD (Every Day Without A Road Death)

  • Developed a comprehensive communications strategy to support Project EDWARD's new year-round programme, aligning with the 2024 theme: Data-Driven Actions for Safer Mobility.

  • Crafted and edited a newsletter that featured diverse stories about Project EDWARD's initiatives, highlighting successful projects from key stakeholders and showcasing good practice in road safety across the UK.

  • Provided PR and marketing support to amplify the reach of Project EDWARD’s campaigns, including media relations and content strategies that engage both national and local audiences.

  • Developed social media strategies that highlighted key events, shared impactful stories, and encouraged public interaction to build a stronger online community around road safety.

  • Created compelling features highlighting Hill & Smith's innovative road safety barriers and solutions

  • Crafted news stories that highlight the life-saving benefits of Hill & Smith’s road safety solutions, demonstrating their impact on protecting road users.

  • Managed media relations with key road transport publications to amplify coverage and visibility of Hill & Smith’s products, highlighting case studies and success stories

  • Developed and executed targeted social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engage with key audiences
